The next level of interdimensional time-travel and game design from heaven. Explore the vast mansion of Gropling forest and uncover the secrets hidden within. Next-Gen Graphics will let you question your own reality: Are you playing the game, or is the game playing you? Critics claim that it was this very game that RTX-ON was originally planned for. This timeless classic has been released for the world to see. Some players have reportedly turned blind after experiencing the Ultra-triple-HD textures and lighting, so make sure you wear sunglasses when playing for the first time to adjust your brain to this outer-world storyline.

Story / Gameplay

You control the two friends Fred & Pete, who have set upon an adventure to explore the abandoned mansion of Gropling forest. As they look around the first floor, Fred suddenly falls into a deep pit with no apparent way to get out. Pete then tries to get their friend out and gets trapped in the process. Here, the main gameplay loop starts.

Every 10 seconds, the player automatically switches between Fred & Pete, who each have their own role to play. While Fred is forced to fight against hordes of monsters, Pete must do their best to solve puzzles that enable both to move on to the next floor. How deep does the cellar go? What secrets lie in the mansion’s grim deep? (Spoiler: it’s really not that deep as of right now ^^)

Currently Playable

As you start into the game, you are immediately thrown into the first playable level, controlling the fighter Fred. Fight against the monsters, and don’t get killed! 10 seconds later, Fred’s view is paused, and you switch to the puzzler Pete. Find the rope with which you need to interact in order to open the gates for both characters. Move through the gate with both characters to get to Level 2. Level 2 introduces pushable boxes, which you need to move around to access the rope. If you move them wrongly, you might have to restart the game! Once both characters are through their doors again, the game is over.

Controls

Walk around with WASD, shoot with LEFT MOUSECLICK, and interact with E

P.S.: We’re very new to 3D design and game creation in general and had a few more things planned for the game - as most people probably did :D Didn’t get done, but we had a great experience on the way, sitting around a dinner table for a weekend and enjoying our time together <3
